Lynn Suruma

Lynn Suruma came to IBW in 1973 to serve as an editor and to help develop curriculum. A Connecticut native, she has worked as a paraprofessional and storyteller in children’s collections in libraries in New York City and New Orleans and taught elementary students (K-1) in Atlanta. She has also served as an editor and writer of K-12 curriculum products, including CNN Newsroom for Turner Learning, a 4-page curriculum guide written to current events; The Weather Classroom for The Weather Channel; ABC Classroom Connection for ABC, Inc.; and Building Blocks for a Healthy Start (SAMHSA). For the past 9 years, she has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care in Georgia.
